FMA LAB AN/PEQ-15 LA5-C ATPIAL
l The AN/PEQ-15 LA5-C is a high-power variant of the standard AN/PEQ-15 Advanced Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Light (ATPIAL). It is a compact, standalone laser aiming system that has three functions: visible laser aiming, IR invisible laser aiming, and IR invisible illuminator. The proven LA5-C is a weapon mounting system that can easily be attached to any M1913 Picatinny rail using a standard rail clamp. The co-aligned infrared and visible light aiming lasers are easy to adjust. The AN/PEQ-15 LA5-C ATPIAL has the same basic dimensions as the AN/PEQ-15 and is currently one of the most versatile, lightweight, and compact aiming lasers available.
l The outstanding feature of this device is that it provides everything you need in a compact size. Its design allows for the device to be mounted at a lower position on the rail and wraps around the Picatinny rail for a low-profile characteristic. This is achieved by using a recessed rail mount. The embedded switch is located on the top of the housing, making it convenient to operate in the field while wearing gloves. The body housing is made of high-density/impact-resistant polymer, making it very durable. This material reduces the weight of the device, which is noticeable when carrying the weapon for extended periods of time. The FMA LAB AN/PEQ-15 LA5-C ATPIAL also features a rearward battery compartment that allows the user to remove the battery without taking off the device. The battery cover is spring-loaded, allowing the device to absorb more recoil from automatic weapons. There is a molded sling loop on the back. The windage and elevation of the illuminator are controlled by easy-to-operate knobs, allowing for quick adjustments in the field without the need for tools. The adjustment of the aiming laser is done with a small flathead screwdriver that requires a tool. This allows the user to zero the illuminator for multiple different ranges in the field.
l The FMA LAB AN/PEQ-15 LA5-C ATPIAL is a high-power aiming laser system that allows operators to easily designate targets at the farthest distances on the battlefield. Its laser output is powerful enough to easily communicate with airborne and other ground teams operating in the combat area. To achieve this, the 50mW IR invisible laser can be focused into a narrow beam. The high-power visible aiming laser allows it to be used even in direct sunlight. Despite the high power of the infrared aiming laser in the LA5-C ATPIAL, the device can still be easily used at close distances. It has a CQB mode that allows the operator to immediately reduce the power to prevent the laser from being too bright on targets at CQB distances.
